The Last Leaves

I was up at Memory Grove the other day. The snow was here to stay. Almost all the leaves had vanished from the trees, leaving bare limbs. However, I saw these two leaves, hanging on, fighting the harsh cold winter, to stay just a bit longer. They seemed so lonely, and so strong. It may sound sentimental...and it is...but I just had to take a picture of them. If for no other reason than they held on when all the rest had fallen! :)

Temples with the Point and Shoot

Here are a few older pictures I found today, from my point and shoot camera, as I was looking through my pictures. Gotta love the point and shoot!

Dusk on the Square

The other day I had a few minutes to spare on the Square. I happened to have my camera with me and took this shot at dusk. The Christmas lights had not yet come on and so I got this one of the temple.

Random

Here are a few random shots I thought I would post. This first one I took on my way home from work. On my home I saw this amazing sunset. How could I not pull off to the side of the road and take a quick shot so I could remember the moment. Yes, I know the fence is in the picture, but I kind of like it. Plus, when you are on the side of a busy highway you have to take what you can get!

This one was kind of the same thing. I was on a photo shoot with the cutest family, literally, in the middle of nowhere. We were on our way to another location. I happened to turn around and saw this amazing sunset. I just had to take a quick shot before I got in the car.

With this shot I was actually waiting for a family to show up for a photo shoot. I always get there early to set up. This shoot was in one of their friends yard. Oh my goodness! This yard was amazing!! If I am ever wealthy and have lots of time on my hands this is what my yard will look like one day. It was a photographers paradise! Here is just one of MANY shots I took.

This last one is from a trip to the Church History Museum with the young women. We ended the tour at this stained glass window.

Better Late Than Never....Right?

These pictures are from the end of the summer...better late than never...right? I just love the end of the summer when the heat finally gives way to the crispness of fall. It also means it is time for the harvest. I love it! I love the smell of freshly cut hay...and seeing it neatly gathered in rows. I love when it is baled, awaiting transport to one of many possible destinations. In short I love fall. So, here are a few pictures of some things that I hope have captured what I love about the end of the summer. :)

Fall Weather

Don't you just love fall weather? I love it. I love when things finally start to cool off. I just happened to be out this weekend in one of those fall storms. It makes for some beautiful landscapes. Though, this is not the best shot I have taken, I thought I'd post it anyway. :)

I Heart Fall

I LOVE fall! Have I mentioned that before?? It has to be my favorite season ever. I had to post another from my trip up the canyon. It was just so beautiful up there. I seriously need to do some hiking before it snows!

Back By Popular Demand!

Many of you have asked about my landscape photos. Since I have been starting up my photography business I haven't had a ton of time to get out and shoot some of the beauty that is around. However, I was able to get out this weekend. Up in the canyon the leaves are just beautiful! I realized, again, how much I LOVE landscape photography! So back by popular demand...my landscape photo blog. With the discontinuation and streamline of my other blog, I decided to create this one that will be solely for my landscape shots. Hope you enjoy!

Grist Mill

Can I just say again how much I LOVE landscape photography!! There is so much beauty all around us. Sometimes I feel we just pass it by in our crazy scheduled lives. Everyday I see beauty begging to be photographed...but too often I am the one that is on the run. I must capture it only in my mind, and hope that next time I won't be too busy to pause and capture it through the lens of my camera.

And just in case you were wondering what it looked like in color...here ya go!

Love the Country

Here are a few more from yesterday's pictures. I just love the country! Call me partial, but I love it. Next time I will post some of my texture pics. I am practicing all different kinds of things. The good thing is, since I'm not that great yet, there are lots of things for me to practice! At any rate here are a few more. I know some of the pictures may have a lot going on in them...but I guess that reflects me...I always seem to have a lot going on!

The Great Wide Open

Okay...I seriously live in the most beautiful place!! There are so many picturesque scenes out there in the great wide open. I just had to capture a few...even if I only had my point and shoot with me. Hey, she does pretty good for just being a point and shoot.

I love outside. The great outdoors really is full of snapshots waiting to be taken. I love landscape photography. However, sometimes, for some of the shots, I wish I people to go in them. Oh, well...such is life! More to come. :) Enjoy.

The Old Gas Station

This gas station went out of business long ago. I drive by this place multiple times a day. However, it wasn't until today I really saw the beauty of the place. Thought I would share it with you.

I LOVE This Place!

I love this place!! It is darling! I never even knew it existed, though it has been in my neighborhood for years. I'm in love!

Okay...I had to throw one in of the puppy! Isn't she cute!
